Tour Highlights

The Palace

Once the royal Palace of France's most famous Kings, the Chateau of Versailles is simply outstanding. We skip the long lines so you can enjoy more time in the Palace!

Local Outdoor Market

Opened in the time of Louis XIV, the Versailles Market is where you'll discover the local specialties, and choose the best ingredients for your picnic lunch.

Marie-Antoinette’s Domain

This was the hide-away of Marie-Antoinette! Seeking a complete break from royal life this private village and farm was built so that she could pretend to be a commoner.

The Royal Grounds

With more than 2,000 acres of beautiful landscapes, fields of crops, an immense lake, and perfectly trimmed trees the Royal Grounds will amaze you.

Grand Trianon

Built by Louis XIV as a summer house. This is where kings would go to escape from the etiquette of the court. Access to the Grand Trianon is included in the tour price!

Picnic at the Grand Canal

Enjoy your lunch while sitting in the soft grass gazing over the largest lake in Versailles. You’ll love the view over the lake and Palace from this secluded part of the grounds.

Petit Trianon

Built by Louis XV for his favorite mistress Madame de Pompadour, this little chateau was later given to Marie-Antoinette. Access to the Petit Trianon is included in the tour price.

Royal Forest

Ride through some of the forests where the Royalty of old used to spend their afternoons hiding from court protocol and hunting stag, pheasant, wild boar, and fox.

French Gardens

This beautiful configuration of flowers and shrubbery is unparalleled. Entrance is free however on certain days there is a small optional charge to enter this part of the grounds.

Hall of Mirrors

The last time the guillotine was used in France was in 1977, the same year the movie “Star Wars” came out.

Only way to see Versailles!

Reviewed April 2017

Hava is wonderful! I am not a tour person. This fun biking day on allows 8 people. We started the day at the most beautiful market in Versailles. We had a caramel butter crepe that was fabulous! Next, we shopped the market and got our picnic lunch fixings. We ride bikes through all of Versailles without any lines! Picnic lunch looking at Versailles, wonderful! We purchased a bottle of wine also at the market to go with our lunch. Back on the bikes and more riding and last, tour of chateaux at your own pace. One of our highlights. Other tours are huge groups. This was perfection, and Hava made it amazing. Do not miss this!

Blue Bike Tour of Versailles

Reviewed March 2017

After searching around for a good tour, I saw the rating on TripAdvisor for this company. With all the great ranking, I decided to book this tour for a trip around Versailles. My wife was a little worried as she hasnt ridden a bike in many years, but that isn't a problem with this tour. Antoine was our guide, and with his background in history and his traveling around Europe, he is very knowledgable about the site. The biking is very easy around this massive park. The market was very fun and bought some great items for our picnic lunch. The only word of caution was that if you book this tour during the week, please give yourself a little extra time at the train station as it is very busy in the morning with people traveling for work. I wish I had made this tour at the beginning of our trip as i would have booked the other tours in Paris thru Blue Fox Travel!!

Way to see Versailles!!

There is no better way to enjoy a day at Versailles than Blue Bike Tours. Hava was a wonderful host and her knowledge of history was impressive and fun all day! Behind the scenes was great as you cover so much ground on bikes. Cant imagine walking. The open air market allowed us to shop for our own picnic lunch, a treat of French gourmet items and drinks.
